Craftables

Craftables are stencils for cutting and embossing paper in exactly the same way as the Creatables, that easy!

Always carefully check whether the specified combination works on your machine.
Experience has shown that what works for one machine, may not work for another machine. The thickness (grammage) of your paper contributes in determining the different plates. If you use
thicker paper (eg 250 grams) you get a better result when embossing.

Cutting Method

• White base plate with the tabs fully folded. If you have a newer version of the Big Shot the
Solo Platform has been replaced by the Solo Shim. And then you need the Thin Die Adapter, which is available separately. This gives the same stack as the older version of the Big Shot.
• Transparent plate.
• Then the Creatable / Craftable cutting side face up and the paper right side down on it. It is also possible
to do it the other way. First the piece of paper and then the Creatable / Craftable cutting side down.
• A transparent sheet on top.

Embossing method

• Transparent plate.
• Then the Creatable / Craftable
cutting side face up. The paper is often tight on the template because you have cut it already.
• On the deck you put a rubber mat or Sizzix Impressions pad in the new version of the Big Shot.
• And a final transparent plate for that extra pressure. In the newer version of the Big Shot is a black plate available separately.

Turn a Craftable with an intricate design through the machine twice with a piece of viscose dishcloth between the paper and the plate.
